What to do if the gear pump does not suck oil and bites
Gear pumps do not suck oil and bite phenomenon is generally caused by excessively large radial clearance between the internal tooth tip circle and the hole in the pump body, too large clearance between the side of the gear and the end face of the front and rear cover. The oil suction position of the duplex gear pump is too high or the oil level is insufficient or the oil filter is clogged, the gear pump is not tightly sealed, and the oil temperature is too high. Treatment method: Replace the gear pump body, replenish the oil in the fuel tank, lower the oil suction position, clean or replace the filter element of the oil filter, replace the sealing element, fasten the connection parts, add a cooler in the fuel tank, or use air cooling. If the double gear pump runs abnormally or bites, it is more common that the needle roller is not flexible, the axial clearance and radial clearance of the pump body are too small, and the concentricity between the cover plate and the shaft is insufficient. The concentricity between the pump and the motor coupling is not enough, the pressure valve fails, and there are impurities in the gear pump. Treatment method: adjust the axial or radial clearance, replace the movable needle bearing, replace the spring, remove the small holes in the valve body or change the slide valve.Adjust the concentricity of the dual gear pump shaft and the motor coupling so that it does not exceed 0.01mm. Replace the cover to make it concentric with the shaft, filter the oil with a fine silk screen to remove dirt, etc.
