Pay attention to the following issues when using large flow gear pumps
Before starting the operation, fill the casing of the gear pump with the liquid to be delivered, which is convenient for safe startup. If the ambient temperature is lower than the freezing point, hot steam should be passed into the pump in advance and pre-heated before the large-flow gear pump can be started. The direction of rotation of the large flow gear pump should be consistent with the inlet and outlet ports. If the gear pump is running for the first time or after being idle for a long time, it is best to run for about an hour under no load or light load.If abnormal temperature rise, leakage, vibration and noise are detected in advance during the running-in phase, the machine should be stopped for inspection. The support or flange of the gear pump and its drive motor should use a common mounting base. The foundation, flange or support must have sufficient rigidity to reduce the vibration and noise generated when the gear pump is running. The motor and the high-flow gear pump must be connected with an elastic coupling, the coaxiality is less than 0.1 mm, and the inclination angle must not be greater than 1 degree. When installing the coupling, do not hit it with a hammer, so as not to damage the gears and other parts of the gear pump.If it is driven by a pulley, sprocket, etc., it should be provided with a bracket to prevent the driving gear bearing from receiving radial force. When tightening the foundation pump screws of gear pumps and electric motors, the screws should be uniformly stressed and connected reliably. When you turn the coupling by hand, you should feel that the gear pump can rotate easily, and there is no abnormal phenomenon such as clamping, and then you can piping. The internal diameter of the suction pipe of the large-flow gear pump should be large enough to avoid narrow passages or sharp turns, reduce elbows, remove unnecessary valves and accessories, reduce the installation height of the pump as much as possible, and shorten the length of the suction pipe to reduce pressure loss.Pipe joints and other components must be well sealed to prevent air from invading and to control the occurrence of cavitation and cavitation.Check valve and safety valve It is best to install a check valve on the output line of the gear pump.In this way, when the pump and the output pipeline are overhauled, the liquid in the system will not flow backward. When the gear pump is stopped with a load, it can also prevent the pump from reversing and creating a partial vacuum in its output pipeline. It should be noted that the outlet check valve cannot be reversed or stuck. The high-viscosity gear pump's outlet pipeline should also be equipped with safety valves and other protective devices, so that once the pump's outlet channel is blocked, the safety valve can be opened to relieve pressure. The safety valve can be cast integrally with the pump body or pump cover, or it can be assembled separately. For gear pumps that require forward and reverse rotation, safety valves are required on the inlet and outlet lines. Pay attention to the use of large-flow gear pumps in order to avoid errors during operation.
